Our approach to training
Our philosophy is one of helping clients identify the most appropriate solution to meet their requirements. Where training is appropriate, the approach is very much one of learning by doing, by placing a great deal of emphasis on health and safety training being participative and engaging, with each delegate having the opportunity to practice the skills learned where suitable.
Our health and safety training courses can be offered to individuals or to groups either virtually, at your own premises or at one of our training venues. The courses can be modified to meet your specific criteria or delivered to recognised accredited standards.
Training courses delivered at your premises can accommodate up to 15 delegates and includes all handouts, training materials and certification.
Our health and safety training is highly participative and will be evaluated against the agreed training outcomes upon completion.

I have attended two open health and safety courses at Safety Improvements and found them to be very professional on both occasions. The trainer was excellent, he explained things clearly and made it relevant so I could relate the information to my own workplace. The atmosphere was relaxed so I didn't feel awkward if I needed to ask a question. I have no worries about recommending this company to anyone and look forward to completing more courses here.
Company and delegate testimonials:
I sat the NEBOSH National General Certificate course with Safety Improvements and Training.
The course content was extremely thorough and well presented using various methods of teaching. The Tutor, conducted the course in a relaxed manner while getting the course content across. At no point did I doubt his ability as a professional instructor and he was able to teach the course from memory, unlike other tutors I have come across in the past who have tended to use text book methods. The course was structured in such a way that not only did it teach the content required to pass the exams, but the confidence building methods leading up to the exams was such that it left me in no doubt about my ability to sit the exams with confidence.
I will be using Safety Improvements and Training in the future both for myself and member of the teams I manage.

'We have used Safety Improvements and Training for our safety training needs for the last 3 years and found them to be very professional in their planning, administration and execution of training courses. The training that they have developed and delivered for us, has helped us to achieve the RoSPA Gold Award for the last 3 years and significantly improve our RIDDOR Accident Frequency Rate.
Adam Wilkinson - Compliance and Quality Manager, Rentokil Specialist Hygiene
Safety Improvements were commissioned to carry out a number of HASMAP audits. The University was impressed with the quality of the audits and the audit reports helped to produce effective health and safety development plans particularly in areas where this was lacking before. They have helped us set a standard of auditing we can follow.
Its nice to be able to express our appreciation and special thanks to Richard.
Bambos Kakouratos - Occupational Health & Safety Manager, Middlesex University
It was the first time I had ever used Safety Improvements & Training Ltd for any course. The standard of teaching by the course tutor was excellent. He was very thorough at conveying all the relevant information in various styles/ formats. The methods of teaching I must say were next to none. I had not undertaken any other Health and Safety course prior to NEBOSH, however with the help of the tutor and the other students I was put at ease.
The venue was good along with the friendliness of other members of staff at Safety Improvements & Training Ltd. I would highly recommend this Company as the teaching and support given was excellent. I have recommended Safety Improvements & Training Ltd to a number of customers and suppliers since completing and passing the course.
